I wanted to let you know about another exciting event going on at GlobalGiving. We are currently hosting a FilmFest where people can vote for the video that makes them feel the most connected to an incredible grassroots development project. GlobalGiving gathered raw footage (photos and video) from more than twenty high-impact projects around the world. Film makers used this footage to create compelling and interesting videos that tell the stories of these projects and the people who are helped by the work they do. Each video tells the story of a project from globalgiving.com and will help to connect these amazing projects with the support they need.

Votes will determine which videos do the best job of telling the project’s story. Check out all of the finalists’ videos at http://www.karmatube.org/ff.

We are trying to spread the word and encourage family and friends to vote. By voting, we are raising awareness and bringing much needed attention and support to high-impact grassroots projects around the world.

We would appreciate any help you can give to encourage people to vote. You can find more information about the FilmFest at http://www.globalgiving.com/ggfilmfest.html or you can vote at www.karmatube.org/ff.

Thanks,
Elissa Goldenberg
www.globalgiving.comElissa Ghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12767021343306335803noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31436982.post-21407185891411189672006-12-05T22:47:00.000-06:002006-12-05T22:47:00.000-06:0010 days left to the 12.15.06 deadline and total fu...10 days left to the 12.15.06 deadline and total funding to date is $11,215. I think it's safe to say that the project has met its goal of 100 on-line donations. In fact, on 11.29.06 John H of GG confirmed that FBF had 97 transactions towards the contest.

What will be done with the extra money, since the total project need is $13,000? I'll have to do more investigating.Rabi Sanfohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01719616380057199534noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31436982.post-50402142536403887942006-11-29T11:29:00.000-06:002006-11-29T11:29:00.000-06:00Thanks Tony.
