Great Mississippi Riverboat Cleanup

Here are some pics from yesterday's Adopt-a-River cleanup. Rabi has an idea in mind for the sculpture but you'll just have to come to the State Fair to see!

Adopt-a-River Sculpture

Although not officially confirmed, it looks like the Adopt-a-River program will commission Rabi to create an outdoor sculpture to be displayed at the MN State Fair this year. This is the 15th year that a sculpture will be located at the DNR's State Fair Building.

Rabi will therefore be participating in the 17th Annual Great Mississippi Riverboat Cleanup. It is during this cleanup that he will select the materials for this sculpture.

You're invited to join as well!

Revisions of the American Dream

In our nation today, the desire to live the "American dream" means something much different, and fundamentally more diverse than ever for the average citizen. The once highly-held values of a white picket fence, a nuclear family, a stay-at-home Mom and a get-it-done Dad are now vestigial if not irrelevant in the contemporary pursuit of Freedom and Happiness.

"Revisions of the American Dream" is a one-month exhibition of artists from all over the nation that will explore these concepts. We invite you to join us in our visual investigation.

We've Expanded!

We pulled it off just in time for Art-A-Whirl! Our space in Studio B25 was just too small for all of Rabi's tools and creations. If you've visited recently, you will know what I mean. We should have had a sign that said "Enter at your own risk."

But now, we have the workshop area and a showroom. Rabi is working full time on his art so stop by anytime!

2pm: Until The End (supremely talented and inspired acoustic guitars)
4pm: Captain Yonder (“hallucinatory-country that’s woozy and creepy”)
6pm: Breaksea Caravel (dark theatrical orchestra)

Lutefisk Sushi C Show
Live drawing jam sessions, demos, and more at
Altered Esthetics

Pottery Demonstrations

Cheers!

Thanks everyone for braving the MN weather and supporting us during this spring's Art Crawl. Now on to our hood's Art-A-Whirl and hopefully warmer temps!
